Dr. Rajpal Singh Kashyap is presently, Director, Research and Sr Scientist in Central India Institute of Medical Sciences (CIIMS), Nagpur. He is Secretary of Dr G M Taori-Caring friends Tribal Health Research Centre at Melghat. His areas of research interest are Immunology and Molecular Diagnostics, Proteomics, Neurology, Neurosciences and Infectious diseases, including Tuberculosis, Brain TB, Chikungunya, Neuroviruses, Bacterial Meningitis, Neurozoonotic and Covid-19 infections. He is currently working on various research projects which include prevalence of Zoonotic infections in Central India, Role of Herbal Drugs in Infectious and Noninfectious diseases, Strategy for Booster BCG vaccination, Diagnosis of active and latent TB.
He has developed more than 40 ELISA and molecular based kits for diagnosis of Neuroinfection. He has received funding for his various projects from
Indian government funding agencies like DBT, DST, ICMR and CSIR and international funding agencies like University of Nottingham,GCRF project,
University of Leeds, Colorado State University and University of Singapore. Five Indian patents have been granted to him and 5 patents have been
submitted.
More than 140 dissertations, 60 Trainings, 30 outsourcing projects and 3 Skill development R&D Certificate courses have been completed under his guidance. 10 students have completed their Ph.D. under him and currently 3 students are perusing their Ph.D. under him. He has delivered more than
150 Invited lectures and presented more than 200 papers/posters in several National and International Conferences. Various National and International
Conferences/ Workshops/ Seminars/ Medical Camps has been organized under his guidance.He is an Editorial Board Member and Reviewer of many
Peer Reviewed Journals.
He is Vice president of Society of Neurochemistry of India and a Member of the various learned societies, Japan Neuroscience Society, International
Brain Research Organization, Society of Biological Chemist (India), Indian Academy of Neurosciences (India), Association of Clinical Biochemistry of
India. Currently, he is working on Indo UK GCRF Project on detection of Covid-19 & other Bacteria & Viruses in Waste Water Based Epidemiological
Study. He is a Multidisciplinary Researcher. He has established Academic wing, Diagnostic wing, Outsourcing wing. Recently, under his supervision, a
commercial wing has been established. He is a motivational writer and speaker and recently published his Maiden Book, “Unveiling the Curtain from
Success”.
